I have several 'Close Up Pads' that are geared towards magicians. In general they are maid of velvet which is of course composed of standing fibers. As I go deeper into the mechanics of table card work I am realizing that the nature of said material isn't ideal and a smooth felt is better. The raised fibers can interfere with picking up breifs, etc. I think most poker tables are made of smooth felt. Which is ideal.
My question is does anyone know of a good source for poker mats with the right thickness of foam underneath and a smooth felt surface? I would prefer not to spend $200+ on it, or a full table, as it isn't for performance, just practice. Looking for something 20" by 30" or bigger. Thank you folks. |
