A few years ago I memorised a stack. I use the term "memorise" loosely because although it was all in my brain, it took me too long to get to the right card or number. I had to cycle through all the cards before it in order to reach it (if that makes sense?)
Is there a "method" to this? Visualisations or anything? I ask because that's what I tried last time and while I successfully memorised an entire deck, I still couldn't really use it in a performance setting. This is my fault of course for not sticking with it and letting it fade away but I'm curious if Craig teaches anything special here (outside of the tricks I mean, I have no doubt the tricks will be awesome if Visible is anything to go by) |

What this means is that you don’t have instant recall which means that most tricks become redundant. I go through tricks and tips that I and Ryland use to make sure that we have instant recall without needing to cycle through cards. However that is the purpose of the crib and the self-worth and tricks. They give you confidence to perform this material in the real world knowing that if you cannot memorise something it’s not an issue. Well over half the project can be done even if you have never memorised the deck. As I mentioned before on this thread that makes the learning curve less steep and more accessible. Does that answer your question? |

Well this arrived today & I am working my way SLOWLY through it ( intro & everything)
The first trick that Craig teaches ( which does not need recall or a crib) could have been sold as a separate release & he could have changed the full asking price ! So that’s really great . I have also watched the other 2 effects which are very good & I particularly like the 3 rd of these using business cards . 6 more effects to go PLUS the bonus. CRAIG I have always been a fan of your work & also met you at a South Tyneside Convention & also when Russel Leeds did a lecture at the Newcastle Magic Circle & you traveled up with him. Got to say that not only are you a nice lad but your releases are bloody fantastic! You are going from strength to strength & your stuff is ‘real world achievable tested stuff ‘ and that means a lot . But your system also is achievable for a complete beginner who wants to learn Mem Deck work . What you are offering here is for nothing Craig & I honestly think you could have charged a heck of a lot more for the last information on this download. You are a natural born teacher& communicator. Only 3 effects in and it’s great Thanks Mr Petty , you never let me down Mike Donoghue Pro.Magician |

So just under a week and with Craig's brute force method I'm
comfortable with instant recall of the first twenty five cards. The tricks are great too 👍🏻 |

My fav effect is SnapShot. I’m using this mainly during mix and mingle situations with multiple spectators as I get three specs to each hold a pile of cards in between their closed palms before making the reveals of the bottom cards in their piles. I’m also using the fantastic DMC deck which makes the handling much cleaner too.
I already use Mnemonica so bought this not for the learning method of the stack(s), but for the routines. They really are great, with something for everyone. Bravo!

What I mean is: Don't learn it like "4C, 2H, 7D,..." but "1-4C, 2-2H, 3-7D,...". So, don't just learn a sequence, but numbered cards, if that makes sense. |

Hi everyone. Thank you so much for the kind words.
Firstly if you have any problems downloading a PDF just speak to the 1914 and they will sort it for you immediately. The customer service is beyond exceptional. I have been blown away by how many amazing comments I’ve had about this project. It’s a very niche subject but I felt so passionate about wanting to put something together as I am such a huge fan of memorised decks. Thank you to everyone that has left great reviews, I really appreciate it. If anyone has any other questions please go ahead and let me know Thanks again |

I've been enjoying this as well! While I learned the stack as Juan teaches it in the book, this is a great little item to have for anyone wanting to learn a stack. As always, Craig's teaching leaves no stone unturned. I hope it will encourage more people to look into memorized deck work!

I made a lot of progress with Rick Lax's method and a training app, but didn't commit to long term memory. I took too long of a break without practice.
Really want to finally get a stack memorized and locked in but hesitant to spend more money versus just working on the memorization. I have no shortage of routines I've learned once I commit the stack to long term memory, but most require instant recall. How much of this release is about memorizing a stack vs simple tricks vs advanced? |

And Craigs best tip you've given yourself allready: keep practicing. The tricks are equally devided into selfworking, crib dependent, fully memorized stack tricks. |

So I bought it. It's great.
I knew I would like the presentation style anyway having had Craig's material before, but the best bit... ...the very best bit was the intro when Craig was saying we need instant recall, and then named the wrong card. Twice Made me smile anyway. Thanks Craig. |
