Are there good plans out there for an upright, stand up version of the shadow box. I am planning on giving the plans to a professional wood worker to build for me. Is there enough information in these plans that I can feel safe going about it this way? Thanks.

I currently have an effect in fabrication, that is a vertical shadow box, and a smoke chamber combined. It can be performed completely surrounded and will fit a magician approx. 6 feet tall. There will be a manual and a completely automated version.
Concept by Ryan C. Reed and design by Ryan and myself. I believe this will be very hot!!!!! "Quicksilver" Jack Murray

Back in the early eighties I built five upright shadowboxes for a entertainment production in the USAF called Tops in Blue. The theme of the show was space and we called them transporter tubes. When the boxes were opened, only the percussion instrutments were visible. After we closed the boxes the shadows of the horns started to float and the band members would slowly fade into view holding their instrutments. They then busted through the paper playing the star wars theme opening the show. It was very cool unfortunately the boxes were too large for the conditions we sometimes performed in so we threw them away in a dixie dumpster on tour when we were traveling through Myrtle Beach S.C. What was unique about the boxes was the fact that the light was battery operated with a projector bulb and a 6 volt battery. Those bulbs really lit those boxes up.
