I just had a look at the Cafe 'clientele' list and was fascinated to see that we now have members from no less than 21 different countries.....21!!

Perhaps the name of this Forum should have the word 'International' added.

I absolutely love this board!

All of these great people from all over the world sharing with each other is a good example of how things should be.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but many Canadians and South Americans would probably prefer you use the term "United States".



At least you didn't call MY homeland (Alaska) a foreign country; don't laugh, I've had suppliers from the "lower 48" tell me they couldn't sell to me because they don't ship to foreign countries.

So..... with soooo many international users.....



How about a off-air video exchange of shows that don't air in other parts of the world? Somebody out there has to have a VCR that will convert VHS>PAL and PAL>VHS, etc.....



Any other thoughts on the idea?

I know, I started to put United States of America than thought USA but I was trying to make them all line up and I didn't want to erase them all and restart (you can't insert the smilies without erasing the text) so I just thought well... since I'm the one writing this and I'm from America I'll just go by the we're the host country so we'll let everyone else go first and we'll bring up the rear. (so to speak)



The last I had heard Alaska was still apart of the United States (but then I don't get out much so I could be wrong, I wish people would tell me these things. )



Wallace, thank you, I was hoping you would tell me who the other two countries were.

I just didn't see them on the members list.

I was also hoping that some of the members who had not said where they were from would speak up so we can add their country to the list.

Hey, Mya, I hope you didn't re-do all that just for the sensibilities of us Canadians!

As for me, I'm perfectly happy for the U.S.A. to use the term America.

I don't think anyone is going to confuse America with Brazil, Canada, or Guatemala!
