How are you folks delivering your contracts nowadays?

are you delivering by mail and having them sign and send it back,

send by email and have them print sign and scan,

or have you found folks are willing to esign, and if so have you gotten
push back or had to teach them how to do it?

Any experiences are welcome.

Haven't mailed a contract in many, many years.

You can simply send them a PDF and ask that it be electronically signed and emailed back. Most use Acrobat and electronically sign. Others print and scan. I've never had a problem with either.

If you want a more "professional" approach, you can sign up to a service like DocuSign, HelloSign, or PandaDoc. The client can view the contract in their web browser, and you'll get an immediate notification when they sign. Everyone will get copies and the IP addresses and timestamps will be recorded.

Lots of great options.

I agree with Joe. All of my personal contracts as well as my agency's contracts are all emailed. Most are scanned, signed and returned. A few years ago we started using fillinable pdfs so they can electronically signed and return but most just still print, sign, and scan.

Interestingly though about 40% also return a physical copy signed (from the printed pdf) in with the payment so we also have these physical copies as well.

Most still pay by check (due to the markets we serve and the amounts) but a few electronically.

Good to know, print and scan seems to be most common, was
looking at esign services, hadn't heard of pandadoc, looks decent,
thanks for the information.

I just add my signature to the PDF, no need to print and scan and waste paper these days.

As Mindpro said, it's not unusual for me to get a printed copy of the contract when I receive the check, and also like Mindpro 95%+ still pay by check.

Disney was one of the most paper dependent companies I know of and even they finally shifted over to Docusign about 4 year ago. I’m sure it depends on your market but I haven’t had a paper contract or written an actual check in years.

Electronic signature is the way to go. Much easier for clients and for record keeping
