Instant Card Magician - Thom Parkin
https://instantcardmagician.com/info $58.00 Demo vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0MhdueCQ-U For a change, there is no hype on this effect. Just watch the video to learn what it is about. This is a trick I fell in love with just watching the video before I even tried it. This is a brilliant piece of software. Instruction is via an 18 minute video (not downloadable) taught by Brent Braun who has quite a resume himself. I met him once when he was demoing for Penguin and it is always a joy seeing a real pro working. This app turns your spectator into a magician who performs a trick with you as the spectator. We have all been approached at one time or another and asked to do a trick. Imagine being able to turn the table and insist that the person does a trick for you. The person reads from the screen instructions for you and then finds your card. The way this is structured makes back engineering almost impossible. And it can be done immediately with someone else and another card. There are quite a few cool apps out there for magic. Cognito took the magic world by storm a while back and I still use it. But something tells me that it is going back on the shelf for now. I had too many people come close with a guess as to method. That will not be a problem here. The working is totally invisible and you will even fool other magicians every single time. The method could not be easier or the outcome more unexpected. The coolest thing here is that no app is required. You can do it virtually using their phone or tablet. All you need is a two way video connection (Zoom, Facebook, etc). You email your volunteer a link which is then pulled up on his screen. All he does is to read the screens as they come up and you have made him a magician. Since he uses his own device, you can always be ready to perform if you are carrying a deck or even if you want to borrow a deck. It can be performed either way to equal effect. (Probably would be even stronger using their deck). I receive a lot of stuff for review, some good, some poor and some outstanding. This is in the third category. I absolutely cannot wait to get together with my magic friends and destroy them. The only downside of this is that once you perform it for them, they will absolutely have to buy one for themselves and become your competition. But wait! That's not all! After the trick has been done, their device display will switch the display to whatever url you wish. (Ads for your business, special sale you are having, etc) And the target can be changed anytime you wish. Great marketing device and one they won't forget soon. Do I recommend this? Yes, and highly. Out of 5 stars, this might get a 6 from me. Easy to do and a real reputation maker. |

Nice to see Thom Parkin's Instant Card Magician getting a positive plug.
Folks, this is super easy to do, and I agree with the above review (although I'd add a caveat that you will need to own a particular deck - which you probably already have anyway - to do the routine). But if you are on the fence and need more convincing, check out my review of Instant Card Magician here: https://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/view......c=735270 Like Mr Canaday, I have been very impressed by its simplicity, and how fun and easy it is to perform, and the interactive elements really help make it entertaining and enjoyable for your audience. |
