I love the inclusion of the mind reading hat. I could see offering to do it in reverse, and using a prediction effect to show they picked up your own thoughts from the hat. That was fun!

Ah yes, good idea. I've used it as a "receiver", when trying to pick up thoughts from several people, but your idea is good. The main purpose in this case was to give me an excuse to step away from the table and peek at my special gimmick, but actually if I'd thought ahead I wouldn't have needed to do that.
