Background,

this caught my attention due to its novelty, a business book for magicians,
a needed niche filler, but does it fill it?

I paid a hefty price to find out for you, about $5.

What's it about?

The business of Magic, specifically close up Magic, even more specifically restaurant Magic.

There's a section at the beginning about the history of close up Magic, I would have been
more interested in the history of close up toothpaste, because that's a history I don't know.

It also has a section about choosing material for walk around, good suggestions over all.

it than gives pointers about performing close up, for a book subtitled, "business first,
slight of hand later" It sure is taking its time.

It finally gets to the business, it mainly talks about getting hired at restaurants,
the strategy for other things is to give your business card to the guests,
Hoping they hire you for something.

Quality,

It's a dover book, soft back, but decently made.

the contents is the important point, I think this is an okay strategy,
if you're just starting out.

but I do have a few notes,

Nothing wrong with a business card, but if while conversing you
find they might be a potential client, ask for their information,
they might forget to contact, but you won't.

also there's more places to meet folks than a restaurant. networking events,
bridal shows, trade shows etc. are also possible places, and you don't even
have to work there.

Rating, 2.5 out of 5, it has good advice on performing and material,
but as a business book I can only recommend it to beginners.
