On 12th July, after a long illness, Tony Binarelli has passed away in Rome.
He has been one of most appreciated illusionist in our country, expecially in 70's and 80's ( thanks also, imo, to his unassuming, 'after dinner' attitude in presenting effects ). In those decades, he was also a pioneer in popularizing Card Close up and Mentalism ( before his tv appearances, to the average spectator 'Magic' meant almost exclusively Stage Magic and Manipulation ).
He will be remembered.

Oh that hurt. I'm sorry to hear this. A great magician who kindly shared material with us thru his books.

Yes...one of my first 'magic' books was his work on card ( and 3 shells and other sideshow games ) cheating, almost 40 years ago...
