As most of us already know, Mr. Greg Arce is a well-known and highly respected name in the field of mentalism. His joining the game and sharing his creative ideas & experience on this thread speak volumes about the SMCP Device and its creator - In terms of SMCP's practical use & application in a real world scenario. I have personally learnt and benefited a lot from Mr. Greg's advice, her on the Café as well as in private.
BTW, Mr. Greg has many published effects/routines to his credit. All of which have been highly acclaimed and appreciated. Welcome to this thread Mr. Greg! Thank you so much for sharing your ideas.

Thanks Greg great ideas and your idea with the flap is excellent.
When I thought of cutting into the back of the whole device (I have the tools) I wasn’t thinking properly then of course the clip the other side could obscure my view once the money had been removed (I was hoping I suppose the levering up would be sufficient to see the drawing or the word). Yours is a far better solution if you want to show the backs. I’m waiting for my double clip to arrive but keeping it simple and direct as Bill has done is part of its beauty. I only thought it would be nice not to have to remove the credit cards at all, however justifying that by using the top obscure card for them to come up with a thought of word is again brilliantly thinking by you. Thanks again for sharing my friend Gaz |

But then I realized the money clip would be in the way as you mentioned, plus if a hole large enough to get a full peek were cut it would almost certainly weaken the structural integrity of the clip significantly, thereby reducing its lifespan. So best to keep things simple, even though it goes against my nature. |

Thank you again to everyone who has politely requested, received and posted their thoughts on the thread. It is you who have made the effort worthwhile, and I appreciate it.
Thank you very much also to those who have posted ideas for handlings and routines. Your efforts are also very much appreciated. An increasing number of people have PM'd or emailed me, rather than posting a request on this thread. I will no longer respond to requests via PM or email. If you would like to request the free video, politely post your request on this thread. That means use the words please and thank you. It's rather shocking how many people want something for free, but do not have the common courtesy to use the word please, or to say thank you. Impolite requests also will no longer be responded to. . |

Stunninger's stunning peek clip! I echo what my peers have said in this thread, this peek is simple, direct, and practical.
There are a few things that stand out for me, let me share them with you: 1) Motivation - The motivation for the movements in this peek are well thought out. Not only are the movements natural, but the justification for the actions makes sense as well. 2) Objects - The money clip as well as the items that go into the clip create a psychology that is very deceptive. It isn't simply that the objects in play are everyday items, it is also that the objects in play are personal items as well. So this lends itself as a layer against the spectator wanting to rummage through the items. There's a nice little buffer that is created simply by the nature of the personal items. 3) Eyeline - I haven't seen this mentioned and while it is not explicitly shown on video, I was playing around with it with my own money clip and realized that the performer can actually have their head turned away for the entire process of the return. Now since the moment of the peek occurs much earlier, it actually happens at a moment when the spectator cannot imagine the peek to occur. Even if it is suspect, that moment is very brief, but well covered. By the time the spectator has a moment to look back at what happened, the clip is no longer in play. I don't have a lot of posts here on the Café, but I've been around magic for quite a while. I want to give my appreciation to you and thank you for sharing a bit of your magic with me |
