Our 5-year-old corgi, Bo, has been off his feed for a week. Last night we took him to the emergency vet because he wasn't drinking. He has some elevated liver readings, which could be just an infection, or something worse, like cancer.

Today he had an ultrasound and most everything looks good except for a few lymph nodes. They've taken aspirations which they'll examine tomorrow.

We'd appreciate your prayers for our little guy.

Thanks.

Done, with pleasure.
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

In northern Michigan, within the last couple weeks, a strain of parvo was diagnosed after several dogs contracted it.

Thanks, guys.

We got the test results today: lymphoma.

They can't cure it, and we're not going to put him through a treatment regimen that will leave him miserable.

Had a cat that developed a brain tumor. Same decision. I feel for you.

The cat was almost 20. He had a good life. But it was sad.

We've lost several cats over the last ten years. We're down to two. Technically can't get anymore, as we have a lease that limits us to two, with the rent going up if we get another one! Doesn't matter. At this stage in my life, I'm tired to being responsible for other things.

You are right. Your dog was blessed to have shared a life with you.

We made the painful decision and laid our dear, sweet, precious boy to rest.

It wasn't a difficult decision – we were not going to put him through radiation or chemo – but it was a painful one. It's not about us; it had to be about him and his quality of life.

We're heartbroken.

All he wanted to do was eat, meet new friends, and chase his ball. He was an ambassador for his breed.

So sad to hear. Losing a pet is indeed like losing a family member.

Concentrate on remembering all the great memories you had together. I'm sure there are many.
