I've been told that both Off The Cuff video and On The Spot video by Gregory Wilson are great for impromptu magic. I was just wondering what video do you prefer most? And also what video has more tricks?
The Off The Cuff video has the "All Around Vanish". Does the vanish leave you clean after you perform it? The On The Spot video has the "Linking Ring Routine", is it really worth it? I'd love to hear your comments on these. Thanks. |

On The Spot contains more material (but no linking rings, it only deals with everyday objects).
Off The Cuffs contains great things too: the invisible coin becoming visible, the rubberband ladder (Dan Harlan's trick) and other nice stuff. Buy both if impromptu magic does interest you. |

On The Spot has quite a few "usable" effects that will blow folks away, personal favorite is a dime/penny transposition that takes place in the spectator's hand.
Well worth the price. |

What video has more mind blowing tricks? Will I learn the full RECAP routine on On the Spot because the trick list says RECAP REVISITED?
Is the vanish in Off The Cuff really clean? |

Well, the vanish is taught on On The Spot as well. Honestly, your money will be best spent on On the Spot. I have both and Off The Cuff left me feeling, enh.
Get On The Spot. |

Recap and the all-around are taught on On the Spot, but not in the same depth as Off the Cuff. Both are good videos, I'd say go for On the Spot first for the strength and amount of material, plus it's on DVD while Off the Cuff in only on tape. I have to say I'm very glad I learned recap from Off the Cuff though, Greg is definitely more thorough with it on the first tape.

Thanks guys! I'll soon be getting On The Spot..
One last question, do I get wild reactions through the effects in On The Spot? Because I'm thinking of getting Kard Klub from ellusionist rather than On the spot because Kard Klub teaches how to handle spectators.. |

Is the florida keys trick from the On the Spot DVD good because when I watch the preview on penguin that's my favorite trick...but when I read reviews from people who have already watched the video...nobody mentions florida keys as their favorite
btw...in my opinion...i don't think that kard klub is worth the purchase. |

Florida Keys, according to reviews is not so good. People who purchased the video prefer the tricks where paper napkins are used as spongeballs.

I used napkins on the weekend as spongeballs, (God bless Greg Wilson). THe On the Spot dvd is worth the money.
It gives you more than enough material to work an impromtu show. Florida Keys is not bad, but the napkin material is a little stronger, I think. (Plus you have to invest for the FLorida Keys trick, not as impromtu as people would want it I guess) Spend the cash on On the Spot, it will be worth it. |

Well, I bought On the Spot before I got Off the cuff, and I had no problems learning Recap revisited first.

One other thing. You wrote:
"The Off The Cuff video has the "All Around Vanish", does the vanish leave you clean after you perform it?" I know from one of your other posts that you are interested in street magic. Please understand that the "All Around Vanish" doesn't mean you can perform it with people all around you. It's called the "All Around Vanish" for a different reason. It does leave you completely clean after the vanish. |

.......and is taught on the On the Spot video, as well as Off The Cuff.
