Anyone have thoughts on this old principle brought right up to date?
Looks a very convincing deck vanish but it is expensive. https://www.seomagic-usa.com/product_inf......_id/2712 Best wishes Gaz |

Yes I realise that and it’s obviously massively based on the original concept otherwise it would be real magic.
However as the price is quite high I just wondered what more anyone thinks has been added. I realise the way the deck is returned upside down etc it’s just a shell but was more thinking about the addition of the hole etc etc. I have 2 versions from years ago and 1 already by Joker magic that uses a magnet and a plastic stronger case so was really just trying to do some out of the box thinking and jamming with others Gaz |

It appears in most cases you need to cover the hole in the deck while placing it in the metal frame. Is that really an improvement?

I only know that at conventions they are always the ones who first bring out things like Rainbow card and other very cool products.
This just looked cool, gimmicky yes but very visual and I agree expensive Gaz |

Trailer looks very good. At $140 though ... there are some really great books I can get for that price!

I remember years ago Bob Johnson came out with a beautiful wooden deck vanish like this and I only wish I still had it. But this does look nice however for the price I think I'm going to wait out some reviews I don't know if a switch is involved somewhere but it shows it comes with two cases so I do Wonder. But it looks great!
Good magic to all, Eric |

Hi Eric... do you mean Robert Jackson? Not familiar with the Bob Johnson version. Kline also made a nice wood version many years ago with a nice routine, I have one of those in the collection. Joker Magic makes a decent version in plastic as well. Alakazam's V-Deck is an interesting organic looking approach to this effect. This new version does have some nice visuals, will be interested in the reviews.

Yes John I already mentioned the Joker magic version which is white and I have two.
One with a magnet which holds the card that you showed as a convincer from the deck at the start. Their other version is a just a stronger made version of the original Gaz |

Just validating it was a decent version Gaz :0 Don't have the "locking version however with the magnet. I do think V-Deck brought some interesting ideas to this effect. As with many things there are many cheap china copies out there. Reading the description again for this new version it does mention the black case is made of metal along with the "deck box". Also includes an omni deck. Helps some in justifying the higher cost. It is a cool effect and I have spent more for less in the past

Yes thanks for clarifying John and also the details of what you get with this.
It’s potentially beautifully made and may make the illusion even more water tight. We will see if anyone takes the plunge Gaz |

Looks like the nice wooden TCC Vanishing Deck Pro in metal and with an hole
The black surface in the video looks too metallic and prone to stains to me |

The variety of these boxes have three different methods. The type made by TCC, Joker, and many others over the years have one method. The Robert Jackson box uses a different method. The new Black Hole is yet another method. I will not discuss these methods here for obvious reasons.
The most commonly known type/method is the one made by TCC. In addition, that version has been made cheaply out of materials such as cardboard and plastic. The wood versions are better for obvious reasons. By the way, I think it is safe to consider the version made by TCC and others as the standard version of this effect. Can be considered shocking to a spectator. Visually spectacular! |

John yes you are correct. That will teach me to voice text and not double check when I'm waiting to go in to see my primary care doctor for my blood test results! Lol! Which by the way the results were very good. Thank God! But thank you for the correction I very much appreciate it we must give credit where credit is due. My version that I had unfortunately was stolen out of storage while I was up in Northern California. But I remember when I first saw it performed I was absolutely floored. This does look very good I just want to wait for reviews but I have a feeling I will be purchasing this down the line.
Good magic to all, Eric |

Price is ridiculous, but it's Seo Magic, after all. I am getting preorder fatigue. Just release it when it's ready, already. Notice he keeps his thumb covering the card box, every time.
