Tamariz Mnemonica 5 cards dealt 2 card Suitability 10 spy cards

I wanted to make a one card suitability trick using mnemonica but could not find a usable pattern, but I did find a two card pattern that will work with mnemonica so here it is.

Effect:
Magician displays a deck of cards to be all different and random. Magician gives the deck to a spectator. The deck is cut multiple times by the spectator who then deals a card to five other spectators.

The magician asks the second and third spectator that received a card what their suit is.

From this information the magician reveals what all five cards are!

How:
Make the 7D a mandolin spy card and then every fifth card after that is also a mandolin spy card.

This assumes you use a normal bicycle rider back for the main deck and you replace the spy cards with mandolin back cards because they are easy for the magician to see the one mandolin card amongst the five that the spectators are holding (instead of 10 mandolin cards you could use 10 BLACK back rider cards, the audience will never notice the difference but hopefully you the magician can tell the difference).

Make the 2H a breather card and every fifth card after that a breather card. This enhances the probability that the 2nd and 3rd card of the five dealt (the two suitability cards) will be together amongst the five cards ie: so that the first suitability card is not the last of the five causing the second suitability card to be on top of the deck (not good) I call this the split suit situation which should be rare.

Temporarily remove and put the Six of Clubs and Ace of Hearts in your pocket to get them out of the way and you are all set for a two card suitability trick with the 10 spy cards and just five cards dealt.

Because this is a 50 card deck: note that in your mnemonica memory sequence in your brain you jump from the ten of diamonds to the nine of diamonds.

If the split suitability happens (spectator #4 has the mandolin spy card which means that spectator #5 has the first suitability card) the magician ask for the name of the suit of spectator number 5 and of spectator number 1.

I have a special cheat sheet for this rare split suit situation (see further below).

Normal cheat sheet mnemonica 5 card, spy, two card suitability (below shows suits of the two cards immediately after the mandolin card then the number is the mnemonica (1-52) position of the first suitability card):

C H = 4 (CHair has 4 legs)
S S = 9 (Social Security has 9 numbers)
H S = 14 (kids start High School age 14)
D H = 19 (Designated Hitter has #19 shirt)
C D = 24 (the CD spins 24 revolutions per min)
D C = 29 (US route 29 runs thru Washington DC)
S H = 34 (SHhhh, mother age 34 sleeping)
D S = 39 (DentiSt Jack Benny pulling 39 teeth)
C S = 44 (Chicken Soup 44 bowls)
D D = 49 (Down and Dirty 49ers miners)

If you decide not to memorize the 10 rows above and to print a cheat sheet for it then just print the first five characters of each row (no need to print the memory tricks) and then print and glue the abbreviated cheat sheet info to the back of a joker or an ad card or glue it to the front or back of the tuck case where you can casually glance at it if needed.

The magician should memorize the above because it is small and that info is needed when the mandolin card is held by spectators #1, or #2, or #3, or #5 (not by #4 which needs the splits cheat sheet).

Splits cheat sheet below (this needed only when spectator #4 has the mandolin card but hopefully the breather cards before the mandolin cards will eliminate or greatly reduce this situation):
Below shows spectator #1 suit then spectator #5 suit then the mnemonica position of spectator #1 card:
H S = 5
S H = 10
S D = 15 (equivoque card #1 for 6S vs JS)
H C = 20
D D = 25
C S = 30
H D = 35
S C = 40
S D = 45 (equivoque #1 for 6S vs JS)
D C = 50

Note that the first suit is coming from the prior row second suitability card and that the second suit is coming from the current row first suitability card. This fact is not important, just go by the splits cheat sheet in this situation.

Note that the above rarely used cheat sheet for the split situation is so small that it can easily be printed and glued to the back of a joker.

If the breather cards are working properly and the spectator cuts the cards properly then spectator #1 should get the mandolin card, spectator #2 should get the first suitability card, spectator #3 should get the second suitability card.

If for whatever reason you miss the first suitability card then just do a full blown equivoque on that first suitability card then you know all and are home free and still have a fantastic effect.

My suggestion to use 10 BLACK rider back cards instead of mandolin cards assumes the main deck is blue back riders.

Another way for any deck is to put a light smudge in the upper left and lower right on the back of the "mandolin" position cards.

To make it easier I have sorted the "normal cheat sheet" in chased order and sorted the "splits cheat sheet" in chased order to make it easier to print off and glue to the back of a joker, ad card, or tuck case.

Sorted CHaSeD CC
Norm CC ....... Splits CC
C H = 4 ........... C S = 30
C S = 44 ......... H C = 20
C D = 24 ......... H S = 5
H S = 14 .......,.. H D = 35
S H = 34 .......... S C = 40
S S = 9 ............. S H = 10
D C = 29 ....... S D = 6S or JS
D H = 19
D S = 39 ........... D C = 50
D D = 49 ........... D D = 25

"Valuability":
Below experimenting six cards dealt mnemonica 52 cards:
4C 2H 7D 3C 4H 6D
AS 5H 9S 2S QH 3D
QC 8H 6S 5S 9H KC
2D JH 3S 8S 6H TC
5D KD 2C 3H 8D 5C
KS JD 8C TS KH JC
7S TH AD 4S 7H 4D
AC 9C JS QD 7C QS
TD 6C AH 9D
End of Tamariz Mnemonica
Note that the sixth column above does not have any duplicate values (a good thing).

"Valuability" with six cards dealt:
If we ask just one spectator what the value of their card is (not their suit) then we know all if we use the last column above (6D, 3D, KC, etc but also include the 2H after the QS).

We could make those cards the mandolin cards and thus not need the breathers or In contrast we could just use the breathers (not use any "mandolin" cards) and make sure that breathers are three cards in front of any of these "valuability" cards. This way the magician can have back turned or be blindfolded and ask the third spectator the value of their card (note that breather cards would be: 7D, 9S, 6D, 3S, 2C, 8C, AD, JS, AH).

Once the mnemonica magician knows the value of that card the mnemonica magician knows its suit via the cheat sheet and knows the value and suit of all the other five cards because memorized.

Cheat sheet or memorized:
2=H
3=D
4=D
5=C
6=D
10=C
J=C
Q=S
K=C
Easy way to remember the above is that:
"Two" means Hearts (which has two lobes)
"Queen" is bad queen of Spades
The "three", "four", and "six" means Diamonds
The rest means Clubs.

I think the magician should not reveal the suit of that first card right away, but should reveal the entire identity of perhaps the 5th card (that way throwing suspicion off of the third card) and then reveal a couple of more cards and then reveal the third card suit and then reveals any remaining of the six cards.

If the magician gets the fifth card wrong then the magician equivoques all the way down on the 5th card and then once known then knows all the cards.

Instead of outright asking the target person the value of their card the magician could ask just enough equivoque questions to determine what it is.
"Your card isn't higher than a seven is it?"
If they answer "yes" then the magician knows that it is a club or it is the queen of spades and the magician can say "I am definitely getting the image of a black suit card". And the magician can equivoque from among those four cards.

If their answer is "no it's not higher than a seven" then the magician knows that it is the two of hearts or five of clubs or one of the three diamonds. And the magician can equivoque from among those five cards:

The magician can say "If your card is a black suit card close your eyes and concentrate".

This will identify whether the card is the five of clubs. If the target spectator eyes are open (magician knows it is a red suit card) then the magician says "it isn't a heart is it?" If they say "yes' the magician knows it's the two of hearts otherwise magician says "I'm getting the vision of a low level Diamond perhaps the 3 thru six of Diamonds, it isn't the four of diamonds is it? I'm very very close so just please tell me what it is"

At that point the magician has done very well in the spectator's eyes and now the magician knows all (without having to directly ask the target spectator the value of their card and note to newbies reading this that all a mem stack magician has to do is obtain the identity of one of the six cards and then knows the other five cards).
