It depends on your routine and patter, and your card handling. I have a simple Ambitious Card routine that matches in your criteria. PM me if you interested.

I don't know what its called now, but the one where the deck is wrapped in a rubber band and the selected card spins out of the pack.

Dr. Daley's last trick happens in the spectator's hands.
An ace assembly can also happen in their hands (or under their palms) if you have the spectator cover the pile of will become the aces. Jim

Another vote for Dr Daley's Last Trick.
The trick that is usually known as Two-Card Monte is in fact Eddie Fechter's "Be Honest, What Is It?" Not that ellusionist would ever tell you that. I prefer Daley's because it's pretty much the same effect but with much simpler handling.
It was a good battle, and they nearly won.

I use Greg Wilson's version of Daley's Last Trick called Weighted Aces.
Paul Harris' Las Vegas Leaper, a nice cards across also happens in their hands.

Paulduggan,
Actually Ellusionist does credit them and gives a history. They have gotten better about giving credits. So unless you have the video, don't talk about it. I think here then there is a simple and effective one along with everything else that everyone mentioned. Ben |

I found you can make anything happen in their hands. When I do Twisting the Aces, I say the last Ace is the hardest because the Ace of Spades has more ink, so do you mind helping hold on the face-down cards?
I do an Elmsley count, place the cards in the spectator's hand and say, "Visualize the card turning over in your hand. Did you do it? Check it out." He looks, and I find it to be the strongest ending. |

I saw a restaurant magician have a card selected, returned, shuffled, then the deck is given to spectator to hold with both hands covering the deck.
Magician then reaches inside of spectators grip and pulls out card. Upon the revelation of it being the selected card, spectator opens his hands to find a clear block of plastic or plexiglass. The deck is nowhere in sight. Played pretty strong. Does anyone know what the source of this is? |

Bob Kohler´s The Black Envelope. He has an effect on this DVD called "Astral Envelope". A card is selected, signed even. The magi places it in the middle of the deck and hands this back to the spectator who himself pushes it in and keeps the deck. Performer then places the Black Envelope which has always been in full view, on the other hand of the spectator. Magi then goes into "Trance", out of body, etc.
Guess what´s in the Black Envelope? I viewed this again last night. It is awesome.

Las Vegas Leaper isn't too shabby. I think everyone agrees on Dr. Daley's Last Trick.
Between the Palms is a nice one.
Why doesn't it tickle when I tickle myself, but it still hurts when I stick a fork in my eye?

Try the "Born To Perform" DVD by Oz Pearlman from PenguinMagic. There you will find three card tricks in the hand plus an ACR with one part that is kind of in-their-hand.
Hope it helped. |
