Baffling blocks. Wonder when the Lego name will be removed? Better preorder.

I really like the idea of this, but it seems a bit obvious. That might be why they went with the VHS retro editing style.

But he never separates the 3 blue legos after the red one moved to the top. meh

I really like the eighties vibe, these guys have a good sense of humour. I am not really sure about the handling. The heat will be on all the parts afterwards, not just the red block. But the way he takes it apart doesn’t look clean to me. I think spectators will notice you moving unnaturally when taking the red block off. It won’t spoil the secret, but I think it does spoil the magic.

I also think a lot of spectators will want to have a look at the blocks at the end, to which you should be able to hand them out.

Exactly. And in a very clean way, any suspicious move will ruin the magic.

There are many effects that require moves and yes sometimes suspicious moves that are needed to be done that won't retract anything from the outcome or magic if routined correctly or done on the offbeat. Obviously, this depends on how smooth the gimmick is to work with. Saying that, hope this gimmick is what I think it is. If so, this is going to be a great visual piece to perform. I may have to pick this up.

Sorry, but even in the bad quality video, you see clearly that the red stone seems bigger because of the *#2§l-gimmick. no no no...

I don’t think in a real life close up performance that anybody will notice any size difference of the blocks. that's is not what is in focus. It’s the moving of the blocks that is magical. This looks awesome to me. And lego is a great premise, since everybody has been playing with it when they were a child - or even as a grown up. But as always, It will be nice to get some reviews on thsi one.

I’m making some assumptions about the working of this but I think the handling of this could be quite good. Seems like immediately after the effect all the blocks can be shown freely with only the red one requiring a switch if it was to be fully examined. And as the effect is performed one-handed, it leaves ample time for the other hand to dip into a pocket to obtain a Lego to be swapped in at the end.

I am pre-ordering this and will post my thoughts after I receive it. Fingers crossed the props and method are good because it's rare that you have such a visual effect that you can carry in your pocket for a close-up/strolling environment.

And how hard he is covering the top of the up "blue" lego stone all the time...
It also means that you cannot start so clean into the effect as shown at the start of the video (when he picks the stones up from a big yellow lego box). really guys? |

But my thoughts are as I stated earlier it's a rare occurrence you have such a visual piece of magic that you are able to carry in your pocket so I'm going to take the chance from what I can tell from the demo. I do know from what I see from the demo, it seems, and I say it seems because I still don't have the product in hand but this looks perfectly workable for me. I will find out soon if my assumptions are correct. What I have found now that I've been performing for many years I typically know what will work for me and what won't from a demo. And as long as the method is good and the product looks like it does on the demo when I receive it my percentage lately for not being upset with a pre-order is pretty high. And saying that, I'm looking forward to receiving this. And hopefully after I have it I will be just as happy!

RNK,
This looks great to me too. I'd be very appreciative if you'd post your assessment here after receiving your order. Jim |

I love the concept!
The idea of using toys or something different than cards attract my attention. Waiting for seeing reviews for this! Ruben
