Thanks! I'm a web programmer, but not a server guy. I've always relied on everyone else for that. Your little overview is more than I've been able to get out of my hosting company. They have no idea why people have issues and get the error. "everything's fine on our end." I can't believe that they didn't think to mention the SSL especially since I specifically mentioned that was likely where we need to be looking.

After your comment, it took me two seconds to look in HostGator in my settings to discover that that is exactly the problem.

Time for a new hosting company.

Any recomendations?
