To all my fellow Canucks out there, I hope you all had a great 137th birthday, eh! (By the time you are reading this, it will be tomorrow of course). I don't feel a day over 125! We had a blast at the local shindig which had, among other things, a concert by Trooper of course. Felt just like a Canada Day 20 years ago for some reason... Yay for us!

Happy Canada Day to all who live in this magnificent Country of spectacular scenery, low crime, fresh air (I could go on and on!) Especially to BC where I have many relatives including one real 'live' RCMP.

I lived in Ottawa for years, and the party there is absolutely unbelievable. My friends and I always had one that lasted two or three days. Next year we should knock him unconscious with pucks and hockey sticks, ship him to Ottawa, and make him drink (Canadian beer of course!), dance, sing and party for 24 hours. That'll fix him!!

I only know two things about Canada, and that's all I need to know.
1. It's full of penguins. 2. 80% of men are lumberjacks. But I don't see why that's cause for celebration. |

I agree with you Reg, ha ha! To add to your list I would also suggest placing him on a train across the country. Penquins? They only exist in the South Pole and I have only seen one "real" lumberjack in my life, the rest are imitators wearing those nice stylish plaid shirts. (Although I hear they sing nice songs.)
I'd also think placing him on a train across the country would be good, to his eventual destination of the West Coast. I suppose the locals will never be the same after his visit but then again they are used to the likes of Pamela Anderson, Michael J Fox,__ Sasso (forget his first name but he played in Mad TV) and Goldie Hawn. They may give him lots of Kokanee beer and partake in the local attractions such as Sasquatch watching or trying to catch a glimspe of the Ogopogo, who has a close relative in Bess at Loch Ness. I hear the beer helps in viewing these attractions. To send him on his way the locals would then supply him with Maple Syrup and Smoked Salmon. Not that Canadians usually eat this stuff but the shops like to sell them to tourist. Lastly, armed with his goods and a belly full of food and beer he would depart back home claiming he can't wait until the next July 1st to return again. :O) |

Speaking of selling Maple Syrup to tourists...I purchased some of the Maple Syrup and it tasted like part liquor! LoL No wonder it's famous .

Ha! You call that a threat!? What is the deal with Canada Day, anyway? What are you celebrating? Winning your independance from England? NO! I know all about you Canadians. You can keep your kangaroos and feet-binding to yourselves!

There was once a study done and it showed Canada had an inexplicably high number of famous comedians amongst the populace.
Nyuck Nyuck ..I can see why, we're fond of laughing at ourselves. >>continues to be amazed that our weather recently had been recorded as high as (last week)parts of Saudi Arabia and South Africa. This is true. Ahhh time to put the muclucks away (Eskimo boots). This is written to dispell rumors that we live in ice huts, eat whale blubber, and have sled dogs. See? No wonder we laugh at ourselves (rare occasion - others) especially when asked if we speak Canadian! C |
