Hi guys,
I'm working on my own cut combo like De'vo's on HandLordz.com But I'm having some trouble with it, cause I want my left hand to do something different than my rigth, at the same time. Like doing a cobra cut with your left and a one handed fan with your rigth (that's not my combo, just an example ) To get what I mean, try to tap your head with your left hand, while rub your belly in circular motions with your rigth. Get what I mean? Anyone having tips on practicing, to make your hands do different things. (It is possible, just look a standard sybil, and you will see your hands do different things ) Imperistan E.G. A new topic because Jordini asked it so nice |

Well there are several things you can do to help with multi tasking... I'd say the main thing to do would be practiceing your week hand on what ever task it is you want it to do while at the same time doing something symple you can always do with your strong hand. Example: snaping or something work your way up another thing you might try and get to the point where you can prefrom both actions while watching tv with out looking at what your doing. Break it down though I wouldnt reckomend jumping stright into what your trying to do. I'm more or less a juggler so I work on multi tasking a lot what it comes down to is repitition with both hands and just geting things to the point you don't have to think... You might check some juggling websights see if that has come up If I could think of any specific threads on that I'd post them but I can't. Good Luck =)

I found playing musical instruments always helped out. guitar, drums, piano...all involve your hands doing different things...who knows, maybe you'll pick up a new love too

I love the Molecule 3 by the Bucks... a perfect example of doing 2 things in 2 hands at once. Very pleasing to the eye.

I would suggest just practicing it VERY slowly. As someone stated above, musical instruments help a LOT. Ive been playing drums for about 8 years. You have to sometimes have all four limbs doing something different at the same time. The only way to get it is start slow and practice forever.

I got it down, thanks for the hints guys. I'm playing the synthesizer, maybe that helped me too. I don't have a webcam, so I can't make a video of it.
