I recently received an email from somebody (whose name I've forgotten) saying that my own website is a Googlewhack for the words "unicycle" and "raconteurs".
Anybody else know if their own website hosts a Googlewhack (and if so, what is it)? (And if you don't know what one of these is, check out http://www.googlewhack.com/.)

I've heard people talk about google, what does it do?

Google (http://www.google.com/) is probably the most popular Internet Search Engine at the moment.
It lets you find information on the Internet (i.e. other websites), as well as photos / images, news, and a host more things.

Type in your own name. You may be surprised at what shows up. I have found some old political papers I have written and a couple of my threads here at the Magic Café'.
I have also found two old friends from my childhood whom I have not talked to in decades, and am now sending mail to. Iven

... which is also known as "ego surfing", for fairly obvious reasons.
I've had emails from people who share my name from all over the world, and they presumably found me by doing just this.

I found some papers that I really did forget about and found some feedback on what I wrote. And as I stated before, I also found a couple of old Friends that I may never have found otherwise. I also found some old pictures of my daughter on a Friends Family website that I knew about 5 or 6 years ago but have long forgotten. I don't think it is very important why someone would search their name on the Internet but I do think it is fun and can lead to results not expected. Iven
