At about the 21 minute mark of Chris Ramsay's recent NYC vlog highlights some great card work ((Card to wallet, rainbow card, Echo(from his book), etc)) from Asi Wind. https://youtu.be/2q8w9Sq3PnA
The effects Chris does, and the Tannen's highlight is great too. |

Does anyone know what the rising card with the crank handle is called?

Not sure if that is a new release but decades ago it was marketed by Phil Willmarth as the Cranky Card Rise. It was invented by Rick Johnsson.

I've seen different card rises that turning a crank or pencil makes the selection rise. There's a Rising Card from Envelope in Tarbell Vol 7 that probably works in the same manner as what's in this video.

I contacted Tannens yesterday and ordered it. They call it Black Rising.

What's with the edit right in the middle of the card to wallet? Lol. I think we are missing quite an important piece there

Does anyone know the filter thing that's in his wallet for the photo revelation? I remember seeing this advertised a while back but can't find it anywhere

What was interesting seeing, for me at least, was Asi's equivoque recovery...after the spectator's hesitancy which resulted in a missed force card, on Chris Ramsay's NYC segment! Amazing magician indeed. I can kick myself for not coming up with it. Now I can practice a classic force with less fear of missing, since I've been generously given an out.

Also, Asi's beautiful performance can be worked out without the need for the wallet load. I use a Weiser Wallet (much more readily available, and cheaper, than Kun's Modern Z Wallet Pro 2.0) as well as the gimmick Rainbow Phantom Card by Higar. Two card F@*#es and you're good to go. Put some work on the second card to find it quickly in the deck and position it for the spectator to "choose". I do like Kun's idea of folding a bill and paperclipping it to the wallet's credit card slots across from the ID window, and then this provides an excuse to photograph the wallet (Asi just comes out with the wallet with no real reason to take the photo and then proceeds with borrowing a phone) to avoid "switching" the currency in case of a magic mistake. I use two $100 "movie money" bills that look particularly authentic...and this provides continuity when you work the wallet. Make the first card disappear from the deck using some sticky stuff and then move to the wallet for a reveal. You can work out the rest by viewing the video clip.
