If you could be granted both Citizenship and the legal right to work in say, three other Countries, - where and what would you choose?
Mine (in no particular order) would be the USA. Low property (real estate) prices. I'd buy a house in a sunshine state. Australia. Well, this is the land where we used to send our convicts. Now they only seem to accept highly skilled young professionals. A truly vast Country, and one I would gladly give either of my sons the air fare to make a new life for themselves in. Canada. Not everyone's first choice, but probably one of, if not THE lowest crime Country in the world. I'd choose B.C. myself. A land of wilderness. But here we are in the E.U. - and where would I go? Well, The Canaries (small Spanish Islands off Africa), mainland Spain is ok. France is paradise to many Brits. but not personally to me. |

I'm lucky that I have citizenship with two countries already - France and Canada and also hold a social security card for the US. My citzenships allow me to travel, retain passports from both countries and work.
I feel extremely lucky so my wish is already fulfilled. C |

I would not give up the USA for anything, but if I HAD to, I would choose Italy.

I would choose only one land besides my own USA. That would be Japan.

This is a hard one. I've seen a lot of the world, and know a decent amount about the rest, and right now I am in my favourite place. British Columbia, Canada—one of aceparties choices. But don't think it's all wilderness! I love that part, but Greater Vancouver is a fantastic urban area with millions of people.
My choices: New Zealand. Seems enough like here that I would like it, different enough that it would be a change, and after seeing The Lord of the Rings and Whalerider I really want to check it out. Australia. Fascinated by that place. Love to check it out. Don't have a third non-fictional one, despite some brain straining. I'd have to go with Firedice and say The Shire. New Zealand will have to do.

I'd not give up the UK either '666' - but was just wondering what other Countries, if you were given BOTH the opportunity to live and WORK there, you'd choose. Takes the States for instance. We look at the price of real estate in sunshine States and say 'wow' - that's cheap, I could afford that, - and look what your dollar would buy - swimming pool, 4 bedrooms, double garage etc. etc. But unless I could put an ad. in the next edition of Yellow Pages and trade as an entertainer it would be no use to us, as the cost of travel is so expensive to just have a USA place as a holiday home (even if I rented it out!)

I LOVE the United States Of America but as far as being a citizen of two other countries?
Choice #1 would be the Netherlands. They have a couple of Freedoms and some old age benefits that I would enjoy. If you are born Dutch, you can look forward to living in a decent apartment with enough money to eat decently. Unfortunatly we don't have that same privilage here in the good ole' United States. Those unfortunate enough to not have planned for their "Golden Years" will find themselves in some old depressing old age depository with nothing to look forward to except death. What a pity. Choice #2 would be Ireland. Just watch the movie "The Quiet Man" and you will see what I mean. I have seen enough pictures of Ireland that I believe that what you see in the movie does exsist. Just a beautiful, green country. And I Love Guinness Stout. Iven

I would love to move to Melbourne or somewhere hot in australia. For the school systems--denmark or sweden (but too cold for me). I would also like universal-free health care.

Perth is the hot-spot so my relatives have told me Ellen. Melbourne can strangely enough get some bad weather.
You'll not see John Wayne and Victor M. in Ireland Iven, but yes, these places don't only exist in your dreams! Same for Scotland, you'll find places that have just 'stepped' out of the "39 Steps" or "Braveheart"! I too dream of visiting Colorado, amongst lots of other places over on your side . . . well they can't take away our dreams can they? |

Let's see. I am a citizen of America and Australia already. I was born in a small island of the coast of Japan, so probably Japan would be my third citizenship, besides America and Australia.

The North Pole, it would be cool to be the first stop Santa makes on Christmas eve.
Egypt, I want to be there when the aliens return. Turkey, then I would'nt get offended when someone calls me one. Really though, there are lots of places I would love to visit but I just can't picture myself residing anywhere but in the U.S. By the way, I have been outside the U.S. to Japan, Taiwan, Mexico and Canada. I would love to visit lots of countries in Europe and as others have mentioned, New Zealand and Australia. GlenD
