I had only posed this question to a few members first but thought I would like to hear what others have and or are doing in this same situation. I have 24 Par 56’s 300 watts each…40 amps per tree of lights. I know I can’t plug them all into the same breaker. I have however, come across on a video of another performer using a “Power Center” or “Power Distribution Center” type of thing…He plug’s it into a 220 outlet and has enough power to not only run all of his lights but sound system and his concession stand equipment also. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get one of these units or how to assemble one or really any kind of information you can share. Thanks for any help in advance.

This would be a piece of cake for any electrician to make up for you,
All you need is a small breaker box mounted on a piece of plywood with as many outlets as you need in 4x4 boxes mounted on it. About 40 feet of SO Cable and a plug on the end, your all set. I would make it for 60 amps so you have plenty of power. I also suggest that you have him make a "Female Pigtail" for you. I know this sounds confusing, but if you explain what you want to do and tell him what I just wrote, he will know. Shadow |

It is cheaper to buy one than to have a "Sparky" make one for you. You can readily find Power Dist. Centers at electrical supply houses.
You can also rent them for around 15.00 a day at equipment rental companies. Let me know if I can help you with any electrical questions?~r2 |
