According to the interwebs, the original and acceptable gift for a tenth anniversary was tin or aluminum.

The current acceptable gift is diamonds.

If that doesn't illustrate the increase in costs since 2013, I don't know what does.

This March marks the tenth anniversary of our very first Roadshow tour. How are we celebrating it? By hitting the road for another outstanding group of cities! And we're still doing it for the same price we did 10 years ago.

For less than the price of a movie ticket, you'll get to see some of the coolest magic around from a pretty nifty group of magicians. Come spend the day with Mark Mason, Christian Schenck, Dirk Losander, Daisuke Seo, and myself - not to mention special guests along the way. Honestly, we love doing these events and based on ten years of feedback - our audiences seem happy about it too. The current line-up includes:

San Diego - Saturday March 11th
Los Angeles - Sunday March 12th
Pittsburgh - Saturday March 18th
Washington Metro - Sunday March 19th
Indianapolis - Saturday March 25th
Chicago - Sunday March 26th

Ticket sales for this tour have gone fast - and I'm certain most of the cities will sell out. If you're thinking of joining us, don't wait. No need to dig up diamonds - just head over to http://www.realmagicroadshow.com and click on a city near you.

I wouldn't mind getting a nicely worked set of solid tin cups & balls! I had even thought of having a set commissioned in the past...

We're just one month away from our first Real Magic Roadshow dates of 2023. We have a great line up of cities and talent, plus some wonderful guests joining us along the way.

I mentioned in my most recent blog post that one of the most common questions we get is, "Are you coming to - insert hometown here?"

We try hard to choose central locations that are easy to access from a wide region. Even still, over the years we have had attendees travel extraordinary distances to join us.

- Our London event had attendees from Paris and Belgium.
- A Boston event had an attendee fly in from the island of Bermuda.
- Our Leipzig event had a group drive in drive from Prague.
- And our most recent Texas events had an attendee join us in both Austin and Dallas from a town in Kansas - a round trip of nearly 1300 miles!

In fact, virtually every event has attendees join us from within a radius of at least 120 miles. Most have someone who has traveled much further. If you think that's a lot of effort, you'll be shocked by how far we've come to be there! Smile Virtually all of those guests shared with us how much they enjoyed the event and how it was absolutely worth a bit of travel time.

If we're heading within a few hours' drive of your location, there is a good chance that is as close as we can get for the foreseeable future. We wish we could visit every town that had magicians - but it just isn't possible. If we're heading within a few hours of your hometown and you're still on the fence about joining us, here's a suggestion:

Gather up some magic buddies and plan a road trip!

It's a fun, magic packed day - that ends with plenty of time for you to make it home before nightfall. We like to think the low cost more than makes up for the travel time.

I was the lucky winner of the raffle drawing at the San Diego Real Magic Roadshow. The bag of prizes I received contained 7 different effects which were donated by the Roadshow vendors.

It pays to stick around through the whole Roadshow. The first ticket drawn for the raffle prize was someone who had already left (must be present to win). The second ticket drawn was mine! Sweet!

Thank you (L to R in the photo), Daisuke Seo, Dirk Losander, Mark Mason, (me), Paul Richards, and Christian Schenk.

A friend and fellow Ring 76 member had his ticket drawn to have a 1 in 6 chance of winning a Losander Floating Table. That prize is being awarded on March 26 in Chicago. Fingers crossed for my friend!

The winner of the Losander Floating Table should be selected on Sunday. Fingers crossed for my friend and fellow Ring 76 member.
