I have been practicing hypnosis on friends for a few years now, and yes, I know that it is much more difficult than working with a stranger, but I have nothing better. I also recently got a book on the subject of self hypnosis, It said that once you had the ability to hypnotise yourself, hypnotising others would be made much more simple. Do you guys have any suggestions; if I should spend my time working on self hypnosis vs. continue plugging along with my friends, or any idea of how to make my relaxation inductions more effective as to more easily put them into a trance? If you have any thoughts please help me or PM me if you can. Thanks!

If you tell people you juggle, they'll laugh at you, if you tell them there is a juggling magazine. that laugh more, if you tell them that juggling is an art, they'll laugh you out of the room. If you punch them in the face, they'll stop laughing! Jason G

What worked best for me at the beginning of self-hypnosis:
-have a dark and silent room -enlight a candle -concentrate on the candle, but don't focus your eyes The warmth of the candle light made it far easier to relay for me. hth #edit: I think learning self-hypnosis is very valuable. You then know how it feels and may look more experienced to your "victims". |
