David Jonathan has kindly responded to my question regarding Vox. If I purchase it now, access to perform the effect will be available on March 6. Thanks for your prompt response Jonathan and good luck with your new release.

Can this effect be done using a borrowed deck? For example to setup a borrowed deck discreetly before performance since it mentioned that the setup takes only a few minutes.

Thanks for your interest, I'll do my best to answer your questions...
Q1: Yes they could name any card if they like (instead of Siri), but we did not say that they can say the number, too. Q2: They cannot shuffle the deck, they cut it. Q3: Yes, the spectator deals every single time. Q4: It can do exactly what you see in the video and what we say in the ad copy... they can't name the card AND the number though as then Siri would then have no involvement in the effect. To answer your follow up questions... yes, completely hands off and instantly repeatable with a different card and number without needing to touch the deck again. There's no reset. Hope that helps! ******************************************************************** Yes, indeed. It helps TREMENDOUSLY! Thank you kindly for your prompt and honest response. This sounds WONDERFUL!!!!! *Cutting the cards is suffice especially to a laymen. *I would rather THEM Choose ANY card VS ANY number anyway. *The numbers Siri generates seem pretty random and I don't think any spectator will question its randomness. I would use the Siri function to my advantage somehow. Its element clearly catapults the effect into the 21st century as we know it. *Completely Hands Off! AND REPEATABLE! without ever having to touch the deck again! just Puts it over the Top!!!!!!!!!!!!! What you may have here my friend is as close to a miracle in the ACCAN category to date. Well Done!

Thanks, Nick-V.!
Catching up on other questions.... I believe it should work on iPad - I will try it later today and confirm. You could use a borrowed deck if you had a minute to set it up discretely. |

I was just thinking of executing this effect straight up with no cutting.
Then, repeat it IMMEDIATELY without the deck ever coming back to me. Inviting THEM this time to cut the deck (again and again) if they like. (Clearing out all the doubters and really turning it up a notch.) And then of course ... enjoy the applause. Why every working magician wouldn't want this would be beyond me. Looking forward to this. Thanks again!

I'll just think about the fact that there are many tricks where the number of the card's position is told by the specator, or by the magician - is the effect really stronger if Siri tells it? So will people be more fascinated by the fact that the software somehow guessed the position instead of a human (a spectator or a magician)?
I just thinking about it, because I see great enthusism from everyone hmm. |

On Feb 25, 2023, TresBoss wrote: I thought about that too!!! That is why you have to be a step or two ahead of them. We as magicians must take advantage of ALL of these incredible conditions Jonathan has incorporated in his version to wipe out all doubt AND Propel this thing forward in this magical world we live in. As shared earlier ... For your hard-type skeptical audiences: Really consider this... Execute the effect straight up with no cutting. It's effective enough, especially to anyone who has never seen any type of ACAAN. After the storm calms from the novices... The skeptics step in... So you gladly, without skipping a beat, Repeat the effect IMMEDIATELY without the deck EVER coming back to you (the performer). This is Very POWERFUL!!! Especially, if they (the audience members) request it and shout out "CAN YOU DO THAT AGAIN???" "Show My friend what you just did!" "C'Mon, Do that AGAIN!" "I Bet you can't!" Basically, Breaking one of the old rules of magic which is "Never do the same trick TWICE!" You Do it AGAIN! Yes, That's right! You do it TWICE and This time with even GREATER confidence! This time you invite them to rearrange the stack by cutting the deck. (Again and Again if they so desire) ***Really clearing out all the doubters who may be present and really turning up the effect a notch or two.*** BAM!!! Another successful outcome! Take you bow! Take their Money Enjoy your earned Lunch! :::SWISH::: My predictions are as follows... If you are NOT a fan of ACAAN --->>> You soon will be. If you ARE a Fan of ACCAAN --->>> You will be even more of one. If You're an Android User, You just may consider what others like darren-uk wrote which is trading it in for an iPhone. And, in Nathan's case actually doing it!

Nick, yes, this version of the presentation you describe is good, like it! I just still feel like the audience applauds at the end is to Siri (since Siri guesses the position), or? Hmm. The impression in the audience at the end can probably remain that the software will always guess the position anyway - they can think that they are electronic cards paired with a phone, for example.

When I perform VOX, I really put an emphasis on how cutting the deck changes the position of every card. So even though Siri is correct, the presentation helps frame that this only worked because of where THEY chose to cut the pack - giving them credit. Aside from that, one of the big gripes among magicians is that ACAAN is a plot "for us" and it's not as impressive or engaging to a lay audience. So the hook line of saying "the best magician/mentalist I know is... Siri!" I have found to be immediately engaging as its something we use on a daily basis and can instantly relate to... yet they are also intrigued/skeptical as it's a wild statement to make. So it's now more than just a card trick and the technology aspect is also very relevant with AI's like ChatGPT making waves doing astounding things. I appreciate it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but its taking an old plot and giving it a fresh approach to further connect with people. |

It's a David Jonathan effect, so it took me about 30 seconds to decide to get it. I've never been disappointed in any of David's releases. I still use them all. Thanks David for your creativity and yet another awesome release!

Ask the people How has Siri helped You? What questions have you asked Siri? And, you can right in front of them have a so called little question party. Just imagine people taking turns asking Siri a question and people enjoying the response. Especially if the response is something funny from a funny question. Then, You get a little serious and ask serious questions leading up to ANY random number from 1 to 52. You take out your deck and go from there! As a magician and creator of magic I would be quite marveled if this hit me out of the blue. Especially if I had never seen the trailer leading up to its existence and release. I am excited and looking forward to performing this one day and many days. And, seeing this thing in action by the hands of all you wonderful brothers of magic. I am predicting smiles in the future for both laymen and magi. Long Live Magic!

Ok guys, you convinced me! While I was reading the posts of John and Nick, you inspired me, it occured me my own presentation which is the best, most impressive and most convincing for me, thanks for the great inspiration and ideas!
Since I can see that you have a really creative mind, what would you say to the spectator, if after the demonstration he will be excited to try it and pulls out his own iPhone and says those questions to his Siri? Or what will you say in situation, when spectator pulls out his own Iphone and will tell you to use their phone with his Siri? Thanks |

Well, if I’m not mistaken I do believe Nick V likes this effect. Nick, it’s like you just woke up from a long slumber. In fact, I’m beginning to think that Nick may be David Jonathan’s alter ego. Have they ever been seen together? Makes you wonder!
Actually Nick, I admire your enthusiasm about this effect. Nice to see it as opposed to the often seen negativity around here. Keep it up! |
