Saw a set of clear plastic cups in an "At Home" store. The shape and shoulder bead said "Cups and Balls!" to me, so I got 4 $2.99 each.

For some time I've been looking for a set of RNT2 cups that were made in their Antique Bronze finish, but no luck so far. So decided to try, myself. Turned out better than I thought.

They're sizeable cups, and stack GREAT. I could have wished for a rounded recess in the bottom, but there is a lip along the edge that does a good job of not letting the balls roll off. Load capacity is great - you can set it down over a Sherwood cup, no problem - but as you can see in my hand, they don't appear gigantic. I'm going to see if I can make one of the 4 a chop cup. We'll see.

Anyway, if you're interested, maybe a bunch of "At Home" stores got these in stock.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

In case it wasn't clear, I was indeed going for the aged look Smile Dry brushing bronze over black.

Great idea. What type of paint did you use?

I had to put a non-acrylic base coat. Then painted it in black acrylic. Then dry-brushed bronze acrylic. Then coated it with Rustoleum Crystal Clear Enamel (which looks great).

There are many other paint options, no doubt. I went with what I had on hand, but I had to buy the base coat because acrylic directly on plastic cups was a hopeless effort, haha.
