Okay, I already "know" the answer to this one, but just to allay my fears... The move is obvious to us, but people really don't see it, right? I ask, because I'm probably in my own head and thinking like a magician too much. It's gotta fly, but am I the only one who worries about these things? Such a cute and fun trick!

I have never had an issue with the move. I even use it with coins in my C/S routine.

The biggest thing that will get in the way of the move is magicians guilt. If it feels like a move it will telegraph. For a spectator they see one card face up and the other face down, then they see that reversed as expected. When it comes to this routine I see a real look of surprise when the card is turned over. People are used to cards having a back and a face so that’s what they are expecting to see when the cards are turned over. The inconsistency in the exact position of the cards doesn’t register before those cards are separated. Magicians can pick up on the move because DB and DF are things we are very familiar with.
My biggest concern with this when I first picked it up was the fact that the cards are so interesting that people would want to look at them, not because they are suspicious but because they are so cute. In real performances I have found that after handling the 4 that you can hand out they have satisfied that desire to have a look long before the revelation. Mark |

As a hobbyist/beginner, I have a question on the handling of this. I see how it's done and it looks awesome! I just fear that the spectator/participant will just naturally turn over the card right at the end of the trick to look at the card, just because the effect is so strong. Not out of suspicion, but just as a natural reaction. Does that not happen and how do you prevent that without quickly just taking the card from them? Other than saying "audience management", any particular tips? Thanks a lot!

Thanks dman11! I guess I should have thought of that, but didn't! Thanks so much for the help.

I haven’t had anyone attempt to pick up the card yet. As soon as I turn over the prediction I place the other card (their face down selection) on top of the deck and then pick up the prediction and place it briefly face up on top of the deck. From this point I can show the prediction both sides.

I passed on Kidz Kardz years ago, now you can’t get it. Looks great, sorry I missed it.

Thanks leipzisch. I actually reached out to Richard and he sent me there, said they were the only ones left anywhere and I ordered.

But...why would you have kids drawings so obviously printed on playing cards? Just can't see anyone other than the most credulous spec buying into the backstory.

Fair question. To me it’s the kind of story that magicians tell to justify and give narrative to an interesting visual rather than something that truly stands on its own out of the context of a magic trick.

The thing that sold me on these when I saw them is that they don’t look printed. I can’t speak for kids cards because I don’t have it as the premise didn’t appeal to me as much as this version. Just for the record, Kidz Kardz also look pretty realistically hand drawn IMO. At least close enough so that no one ever seems to question it or be concerned about it. I’m sure the Predicshuns cards are the same if not better.
