Can the watches on the market really be used for every day use and last? I need a watch that keeps good time and does an occassional trick, not the other way around.

Well as far as I'm aware products like the time machine seem to last, but why not just have a normal watch? Learn some effects, and you'll be set to go all the time! PK time is fantastic, Kuffs has a nice effect also in SYZYGY as well as Osterlind, Jermay, etc.

I totally agree with Looch. Timetrix is a terrific item but is not a working watch. Time machine is also very good but while it is a working watch it may be limited for your needs. Get a good but relatively inexpensive watch such as a Swatch watch and you will be able to do many different, impromptu effects like those previously mentioned as performed by Mr. Osterlind in his DVD, which is a terrific routine, or by Mr. Kuff, which I feel, however, relies too much on luck and proper timing and is not as strong as Mr. Osterlind's, albeit, different routine.

Barrie Richardson has a whole chapter devoted to mentalism with watches in his Theater of the mind. Very, very good indeed.

Yes but the watch he uses isn't exactly normal, the effects are very good but working with a normal everyday watch??!!

Here's an interesting thread from the Inner Thoughts forum (need 50 posts to access) on the use of Citizen Eco-Drive watches as Time Machines:

Looch is correct, all the of the Magic Makers Inc. Time Machines (Gold LTD, Masters, Classic Pocket Watch and the Original Time Machine) function as normal watches.

I believe the watch Barrie uses in his T.O.T.M.routine
is a normal watch that has been altered slieghtly in a way that any watch repair person could do with the right type of watch. |

I have thought about asking a watch repair man to do the work, but I just can't face the embarassment.

I once asked a watch repair guy to make an adjustment to a watch and he was a pain in the *ss.
"What do you want to do that for?" "Well, I'm a magician." "Can't you just do something with rope?" Regards, David. |

I do not believe I was revealing any "secret" by suggesting someone to obtain a Swatch watch, as used by Mr. Osterlind in his routine as performed on his DVD.

Have a look at PK time by Banachek before spending so much on one of these watches. An amazing effect, which can be done impromtu and with almost any analogue watch!

I own an Eco-Drive and would love to be able to use it as a Time Machine. Unfortunatey, I can't access the forum here. Anyone willing to give me their email who might have some info on this? Sure would appreciate it.
