I’m very much a beginner in mentalism but hoping to find a few effects/routines for a stage/parlour show. I was thinking of a mathematical effect that is mostly self working. Are there any effects like this taught?

I would also be interested in “The Score” if there are any comedic routines taught, or routines in which the 4 spectators “win” and the mentalist “loses”.

There has not been a lot of mathematical effects, though quite a few that use maths for their workings. But if you join and attend the weekly jams there has been some work doing on making the Quinta force much easier to work with and a few takes on Marc Paul's 3045 routine that I'm sure Nic Pledger wouldn't mind sharing. I think it was in one of Marc Paul's talks we got a number matrix. I feel like someone else did a magic square, Looch might be able to remember more on what maths based effects there have been. I joined back in March and found it great value. You get a drop of monthly content at the start of the month, a routine or discussion of a particular area, then a live session with a guest some point in the month. For a small price I've had the opportunity to pick the minds of some of the best in the business for specific advice to my needs. When you think how much I could have paid for consultancy sessions with many of these it's a bargain.

No worries, you can just sign up for a month and then cancel if it's not for you. There is an impressive back catalogue that you get access to while you are a member. Looch has been very responsive to fulfilling requests for particular material. Members have had the chance to say what we'd like covered and he's done a great job of finding people to come on. It's reaching a good point where there have been guests on to give basic intros to subject: billets, swami, readings, etc and is now adding more detail, variations, etc.
