Hi,

How do you guys set up your behavior expectations of kids before the show starts?

What are some of your rules?

I tried my 1st show at a friends kids party and it was a shambles. Kids all in my magic bag etc. I ended up pulling the show early.

It often helps a lot to lay out a rope to separate the performance area from the audience area. Sometimes it is also useful to ask an adult before the show to make sure that all the children stay seated. It can also help to say at the beginning that everyone should always stay seated, otherwise the children behind them won't be able to see anything and you won't be able to perform any magic. The children feel whether the magician is enforcing the rules or not. Enforcing such rules is in everyone's interest. Good luck!

I use a line of blue painters tape on the floor. Comes up easy, no damage to the hopme, room etc. Works for me.
