I have been having a little trouble with this for years but I always worked around it. When I do a copy and paste from my computer to post a review, when I do a preview a lot of my letters and punctuation show up as boxes. Apparently, the Cafe's formatting does like my computer. Like I said, I have put up with some before but today was so bad I was unable to post a new review. Anyone have any idea what is going on and how do I get around it> Thanks.

Sounds like the font you may be pasting. From your computer to The Cafe, right?

Some word processors have hidden formatting codes that don't transfer well when used elsewhere.
When it happens to me, I'll paste it into a basic text editor, like Notepad, for a moment. That strips those codes out. Then I'll highlight and copy the text file and paste *that* into my comment. It's worth a try.

Hey Jerry,
That's exactly what I've always done (except in Linux with a different text editor), and it's always worked for me. Thomas Henry |
