Oiater? – ?Tom Dobrowolski
$11.50? (?download?)

The Hype:

Most Oil? & ?Water's use a small packet of cards,? ?but Tom's finishes with the ENTIRE DECK SEPERATING?! ?Originally published in? ?2009,? ?this is the refined,? ?perfected version of an absolute next-level routine,? ?and it could be the only Oil? & ?Water you'll ever need.

?* ?Use any deck? (?even borrowed?)

* Multiphase

?* ?Minimal setup required

?* ?No gaffs or gimmicks needed

This will decimate any audience,? ?but Tom also has a lot of fun performing this at conventions for magicians? ?-? ?and,? ?once you've learnt it,? ?you can too?!

My Take:

Not everyone is a big fan of oil and water routines but I happen to be.? ?I published one a few years ago and taught it at a few ring meetings.? ?This new one by Tom is truly a keeper.

I have seen some real knuckle busting routines such as Eric Chien’s.? ?There are many gaffed versions available and one of my all time favorites is Ultimate Oil and Water by the late and great Anthony Owens.? ?However the ad copy of this says it is regular cards which can be examined.? ?You can also use a borrowed deck

Tom does a great job of teaching the routine along with Liam Montier? (?who else??)?.? ?This looks great especially the part where you decide to use less cards to make it less confusing and throw two away.? ?What I really like about this part is first,? ?it looks great and second,? ?it can be repeated as many times as you would like? (?just don’t over do it or you will find out just how many people really don’t like the plot?!)?,? ?There is great misdirection for ditching a card that is no longer needed.

Another thing that makes this a great routine is that there are no hard moves at all and no sleights.? ?NO COUNTS?! ?So you can retire Mr.? ?Elmsley from this one.? ?Watch the video,? ?grab a deck of cards and you have this down in no time at all.Plus,? ?his ending is a jaw dropper.

So,? ?for my money,? ?Big Blind has got a real winner with this one.? ?I love it and will be doing it for a dinner tonight.? ?This is highly recommended.? ?You will have fun with it and you really require no card skills so it would even be good for a beginner.

This is a quality routine. My only advice would be (as the original writeup suggested) to sub in Hollingworths first phase for the first phase offered on this dvd.
