I have completed my article on Count Cagliostro for my Legends of Legerdemain column in the Ruseletter. The article took longer than expected, but it is finally done.
The Count was not a traditional magician, but his influence on the magical performers of the 18th and 19th centuries was significant. In fact, his life was so eventful that the article could have been much longer. However, I have focused on the most exciting elements that have some relevance to the performance of theatrical magic.
