I used to perform a fast and loose routine many years ago but can't remember one of the moves, is there a method taught somewhere for laying the chain so that the spectator always wins and if so where can I find it as I can't remember it ?

Thanks in advance

It’s probably in taught in School for Scoundrels Fast and Loose. But, generally, it just involves an extra twist when forming the figure eight.

I know the basic moves but I'm sure there is away of having the spectator win whatever side they choose.

When forming the figure eight for fast on one side and loose on the other with your right hand, give the chain an extra half-twist. You’ll see three loops in the center of the chain. Form the figure eight with the two loops on the left and both sides will catch.

It can also be done off the table ( Bob Bengel’s All in Air Endless Chain )

A bit OT but where can I get a decent F&L chain without paying a fortune. Just want a endless French rope chain and happy with whatever metal it's made from. There's some nice ones out there but I can't justify spending £60 or more. Any sources for low cost options? Tried eBay.

I have a couple of dozen chains , including French rope chains. I prefer the ball chains. My go to chain is a variation of a ball chain in which the balls don’t roll when placed on a hard surface. They’re still being sold by Chris Manos on his website and they’re very inexpensive.

I'm looking for a ball chain, do you have a link to Chris Manos site?
Thank you
