Anyone have any advice what type of mirror should be used in the Head Twister illusion where the two mirrors are folded out in a 45 degree angle? The one I have has acrylic mirrors. But they soon warped. So now I'm repairing them. I was planning to continue to use acrylic, but on an aluminum strengthened board. But now I'm wondering if maybe it would be better to switch to a glass mirror. Anyone have any suggestions?

Glass mirror glued to a birch panel. All my Gaughan illusions are that way.

Thanks. Is glue alone enough to keep it attached? Any particular kind of glue?

Get mirror with a safety backing. Look for mirror adhesive in the adhesive tubes section of the store or from the mirror shop.
Regular glues will react to the mirror backing. Bring the mirror shop the plywood panels to act as a template.

Any advice on how thick the mirror and plywood should be?

Mirror is 1/8 inch, plywood 3/8" if baltic birch will do, 1/2" if just birch

Head Twister does not use mirrors but Head Vanish does, I use real glass backed with plywood.
