I seem to remember Joe Porper making at least one of his paddles in wood (Jumping Toothpick Paddle).

Can anyone share confirmation of this wild assumption?

Correct Julie, I have one. It was distributed by Jeff Busby.

Was that the only style he crafted in wood? (I remember Busby now. I THINK some of those had Busby's name on the covering/sleeve.)

That's the only paddle I've ever seen made of wood by Joe. You could check with Scott Jenkins, he owns the business now.
