I USE MY TOP GUN CONTROL IT IS A ONE CARD PASS IT IS EASIER TO MOVE ONE CARD THAN HALF THE -PACK

I use the pass regularly. I’ve been working it for close to 20 years though. It’s like breathing. I don’t even think about it. I can do it while being burnt. It’s awesome. I got a lot of tips from Akira Fujis pass and some others.

I believe that the pass is extremely missunderstood as a move. It can be used to control cards but there are better tools for that. Pass is better used to secretly move cards around the deck or cut the deck. There really isn't better invisible replacements to accomplish those things.

I personally prefer Lorenz Schärs Longitudinal Slide Shift from his book over classical passes. It avoids most problem often assosiated with most classical or herman style passes.

There is a visible framing up that would raise suspicion if someone was burning the deck. Even if the audience doesn't know what you did, it's apparent that something happened. No disrespect, just underscoring the importance of doing the pass on an offbeat or while attention is directed elsewhere.
