I saw this effect some time ago and I’m unsure what it is.
Basically, there are two iPhones involved. Both pull up the calculator app on the iPhones. The magician can type numbers into his calculator on his phone, and move them to the spectators phone. |

I don't know the name of the app but I saw what you're describing performed for a group of people and the participant said within 10 seconds: you must be using some app. I was with my kids and my nine year old said the same thing.
I'm sure some will come here and say I just saw a lousy presentation of it and that it kills for them, but I have no idea how this could be performed without being viewed as electronic/phone wizardry. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question about the name of the app but figured I would share my experience. Maybe you can come up with the killer presentation that will cancel the idea of it being a phone app and I hope you do! And perhaps I did just see a lousy presentation. |

I think the app is called R-Digit by Chris Torrente. In general, I hate smartphone magic. In fact, I pretty much dislike smartphones full stop! However, I remember actually liking the look of this one (the magical effect) when it was first released.
