Hi all,
I'm looking for suggestions as mentioned in the title. I want to produce either a large stack or a case/box of books for a children's show. The books will be offered as giveaways after the show. So far I'm thinking Tip Over Trunk, but I'm wondering if there are other or better options. I'm looking at buying the Victory Cartons book by U.F. Grant and/or the Tip Over Trunk plans by Rupesh Thakur. I looked at my Mark Wilson CCIM and the Tip Over Trunk seemed like the best option in there. I perform without an assistant. I have a small car. Maybe a large Square Circle would work? I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you, Levi- |

A Tip Over Box sounds good and should work.

This Enchanted Treasure Chest style tip-over seems like it would work for real books. (how many books ?)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDJJpxkR6eQ (if the books don't have to be real, then you could build a sort of "reverse vanishing radio" type set up into a small book shelf to make it fill with books when previously shown empty, if that makes sense ?) |

Thank you for the replies.
In my search I've come across people mentioning a variation of the square circle that uses all squares instead of tubes. These can also pack flat for transport. I'm sure I could make one of these by trial and error, but does anyone know of a resource for plans? I can't find any, but I'm still looking! Maybe just different size cardboard boxes, velvet and some wire mesh? Thanks again! |

Personally, I would start with Carisa Hendrix's single book production in a shopping bag. See here at 13 minutes 30 seconds:
And here: https://www.penguinmagic.com/p/12563 Then I would nonchalantly place the empty bag behind my table, a chair, etc. as I would walk forward and page through the book. Then I would retrieve the bag and place the book back in it. After the pause I would ask if anyone wanted to see the book. At this point I would say, "Oh, so many...alright I will need to get some more.". A snap, a wave, and the bag is now filled with books. I would put one on my table for me and hand out the rest. This would give it a little more of a build to the routine. Plus, it would be super light and compact. |
