I love TCC but oh heck no! I'll take a simple spike through hand accident over this any day.

Combining safety, entertainment, and magic into one, That's Fortune Popper!

People make choices every day, from where to eat to decisions that can determine life and death, making Russian Roulette an eternal classic.

Today, we offer you a fresh new choice for this plot: Fortune Popper

100% safe, the most entertaining Russian Roulette effect!

A Brand New Twist on Russian Roulette
The Russian Roulette effect evokes both love and fear, with its terrifying atmosphere adding layers to a performance. This is why many magicians incorporate nail-biting acts into their shows.

However, these tricks often carry a certain level of risk. Even with versions touted as very safe, a moment of distraction could lead to irreversible regret. Furthermore, nail-smashing props are so common that such acts fail to impress the audience. The moment they’re brought out, the audience often claims they’ve seen it before.

As a result, Hau Jiun conceived a roulette effect using party poppers. Not only is it unique and highly entertaining, but most importantly, it is 100% safe. Nothing is more important than safety!

Basic Routine
You take out several party poppers and explain that only one of them will explode; the strings of the others have been cut beforehand. Ask the audience to make a careful decision because whichever one they choose next, you will fix it in a transparent clip that’s easy to bite, put it in your mouth, and let the audience pull the string. If the wrong one is chosen, the popper will explode in the magician’s mouth.
All small town magicians know what 793.8 signifies.

From the poppers I’ve had experience with, I would much prefer one of those in my mouth than a spike thru my hand. But maybe that’s just me. Smile

The ad says you have to get the poppers yourself. They wil not send them to you. Post restrictions, they are explosives, remember.
And they look strange, yes, but how does these things look if you remove the outside decorative paper shell. Will buy some lokaly to find out.
I like the idea, I am a fan of these 'danger' roulette effects! Smile

Hmm, it looks original, but I've never seen those tiny party poppers in my country. Maybe they're more common in the USA

Yes, but not in my mouth! Smile
It’s been many years but it seems that about half of the ones we’d get were duds and would barely pop if they popped at all.

Just watched the tutorial, tbh idea is indeed very good, the only pain point is that you have to construct gimmicks yourself, and you'd have to consume one for each performance and make another for the next, prob not ideal for table hopping but def a good routine to add to your repertoire.

I guess if you don't want to put it in your mouth, you can just have the popper aimed at your head/face.

Do they give a specific link to purchase the correct poppers? I would hate to buy this and then not be able to use what's available to me. The website does mention it needs to be the specific ones seen in the trailer and marketing images.

I would imagine this routine is not ideal for table hopping for many reasons, perhaps the least of which concerns the reset.

I've seen these before at parties, so they don't look strange to me. I am in the U.S., so I don't know about other countries. I was curious how easily they can be found and how much they are. They're easy to find, with a massive range of prices. I think these are all the same-shaped poppers.

Amazon, 50 for $30.99 (about 62 cents each)

Oriental Trading, 20 for $6.79 (about 34 cents each)

Party City, 72 for $12 (about 17 cents each)

Yes, I've done research as well and found similar items. But the problem is exactly what you said - we THINK, but we don't kNOW. I'm not buying this unless I know I can easily buy the proper poppers inexpensively.

When I saw this I mentally said "Cool". But as I get older, I start to ask where I would do this and why. Does this mesh into my persona/character now? Also, I have recently invested in dentures, I have gotten my smile back. So, although this looks interesting, I'm going to pass.

The only way to know is to take a chance and buy some. You'll have to buy the effect first to have the holder and ensure the poppers fit. I agree with charliemartin that I'm not sure this fits my style, even though I find it interesting, so I don't think I'll be doing the testing.

Regular Party Poppers (Yes, the cheap ones). Poppers are not included though. You will modify them yourself.
