Hi All. I recently purchased several empty Bicycle card boxes from Penguin so I can replace the box when the box gets a bit beat up but cards are still in good condition. Any recommendations on type of glue to use to when assembling the box. Gonna first try Elmer's glue stick. Any better recommendations? Warm Regards.

For a quick and dirty job, use a gel cyanoacrylate (CA) glue. For an overkill, super strong bond, use a thin layer of Titebond III (waterproof wood glue) or Weldbond (a very high quality, all purpose adhesive). That being said, an Elmer's glue stick should more than suffice.
What's probably more important is to apply even pressure so that the surfaces you are gluing together are able to bond and cure evenly. |

Myself, I would use double stick tape. No mess, no dry time, and no seeping glue.

The box wears out prior to the cards?
The glue stick will work just fine. And if it becomes an issue again just apply another bit of glue stick. When you do it have the cards in the box so you can apply some pressure to the glue for a few seconds.

Been a while since I’ve been crafty, but rubber cement (on both surfaces) was always my go-to for permanent bonds.
