Last time I spoke to Sean, though I could be wrong, I think he said he now isn't going to release it, but I could be wrong

Unripped....nice effect but way too much preparations required.

IMO, its not too much preparation. Though, for those you prefer an effect like Torn, and don't mind the preparation to that, take a look at Glenn Wests un gimmicked version of UnRipped, looks as good, but seems better as it is ungaffed

I feel TORN and UNRIPPED are both very good. While with TORN the restored card can be examined with the signature, in UNRIPPED the peases are not only sticked together, even the creases are ironed out and the signature is removed. This is what you would do, if you realy make the card whole again.
For laypeaple a very different effect and I think it is worth the preparation.

I watched Glenn's video... So this is Unripped without the prep?... Or are there other methods at work? I'm confused.

That's glenn's handling...it is pretty much impromptu...the only difference would be that the signature would not be visible throughout the restorations. Great little idea though! Glenn is a sly dog.

I just don't buy things from expert magic. I know they will be dissapointing. Melt looked good, but once I figuerd it out, it is so impracticall. And Gone is just a diffrent adaption. What a rip off! And the floating card is so impracticall as well. I am glad I have not wasted my money yet on these guys, and my rule of thumb is, just don't buy from expert magic. -DP

Is it just me? or are the restorations for unripped methodically identical to that of torn... the only difference is the plane of orientation... torn is vertical and unripped is horizontal....

actually they are the same restoration methodically.. but in unripped far dirtier...

they may look different because the card is oriented differently... torn is vertical, and unripped is horizontal...

but the basic concept behind the restorations are the same...

unripped could be considered the sequel to "torn"(additional ending phases... but more complex set up and dirtier) .... but unfortunately sequels rarely surpass the original...
