I am trying to find out what the like column is used for. I see people will like certain posts but nothing happens when you like a post.
Please let me know what it is used for?

That is what happens. It shows the number of people who have clicked the “like post”. No sorting, ranking, or prioritization is calculated.

It shows a member how many other members like what he said in the post. It’s like posting “I like what you said” or “I agree with you” once you like a post, you cannot unlike it. If you really like a topic, you can click on the subscribe button. Whenever a new post is made in that topic, you’ll get a notice. You can check your profile to see what topics you have subscribed to and you can unsubscribe if you want
