I am currently learning the trick Slydini Silks, in which two scarves are knotted together several times and then suddenly separate from each other. Does anyone have experience of performing this trick in front of children and can tell us how it goes down?

The trick is said to go down extremely well with adults and I would assume that older children from about 6 or 7 years of age would also find the trick very good.

The routine by Bill Malone linked below is very good, where a spectator has to knot the scarves several times with all his strength and the knot then unravels again and again at lightning speed. I guess it should be possible to perform that routine for older childen too.

Could be a little hard for some younger kids to tie a good knot, but you could always use the oldest child there or an adult to do that part. Kids love watching grownups being tricked. If need be, you could have an adult tie the knots and the kids to check it making sure its tight. I think it would play well with kids.

If the kids have experience with knots, it goes over well. If not, it won't be as impressive. I've performed it for kids 6 and up, and it goes over well. My routine isn't exactly the same as Slydini's, but it definitely uses many of Slydini's ideas.
