This false shuffle looks very good, if you use it, let us know what you think about it.

At BigBlindMedia.com they also had Hunter Shuffle by Liam Montier which appears to work great too. It has the appearance of just a regular overhand shuffle that most people are familiar with.

Further to the information of Mats, I bought the download "Puffin shuffle", out of curiosity.
It is a very known false shuffle with a little change to make this shuffle less obvious. I will not use this method because I prefer my handling of this false shuffle and because Jack Tighe's modification does not suit me. But it can suit other people. |

Isn't this just the G.W. Hunter shuffle from Card College?

Jack here.
Yes - the core method is the GW Hunter Shuffle (what Forte calls "matching runs"), this is simply my variation of it. We did not attempt to hide that, and GW Hunter is credited. This is the way I like to handle that concept, the advantage for me being that I can put a time delay between the single card runs. This download was filmed in 2019 and I have two expanded versions that I've worked out since. I may put these out at some point in the future. |

I recently downloaded the video and I really liked it. It does fall into the "why didn't I think of that" category - two simple concepts combined in a new way that makes sense. The major benefit of this approach is that I don't have to worry about one step in the process, and that's more time to focus on the audience.

That does look very good on video. I wonder if it’s what I think it is. I haven’t purchased anything in magic for years, but I might buy this if it’s practical.

Really is a good false shuffle currently discounted on BBM. Looks natural and smooth.

I perform a variation of the GW Hunter shuffle that replicates the handling demo’ed. The spectator may even cut the cards multiple times before the second run starts. I don’t know for sure but I believe that the method used in both is the same.
Protect me from my friends, I'll deal with my enemies.
