This seems more like good magic helping everyone as opposed to bad magic hurting. But, let's go ahead and take a look.
From a historical perspective we have Keller taking magic to touring big stages. Houdini with his vaudeville success and publicity stunts. Carl ballantine with his comedy in the 50s. Wilson with his TV presence. Doug and his out of the mold Broadway success. Then of course Copperfield and his spectacle magic on TV specials. David Blaine and his close up reaction driven magic that became the norm for the Internet. And if you asked Criss he would point out he should be on the list. |
