Hi
I have seen this effect on mathiew's web site http://www.mathieubich.com and it looks very good. Has anybody used it in real conditions and can comment on it's effect / reset time / Angles etc. Thanks |

This is one of my favorite tricks put out in quite some time. There is no reset time, and the angles are negligible, unless you're working surrounded. Due to the nature of the trick, I think it is more suitable for non-casual and non-walkaround performances.

Just received mine today, and it is very well made, and highly recommended. You can have lots of fun with this......

Just wondering, what are the limitations or restrictions with this trick?
Thanx! Logan

It looks ok, but I don't know about magic in the dark.

Do you recommend getting the extra and expensive "flashlight card" that is sold separatly for this effect or is any pocket and inexpensive flashlight just as good?

Anything that throws light should be good.
I think this effect is subject of fasination but I would not rate it as "magic" That effect with flash wool looks more like magic than "Stars" |

While any light will work, the light Mathieu sells works the best out of any I've tried.

The one with flash cotton sure looks marvelous.

I agree with Mehtas that this effect does not seem 'magicial" but more of an optical curiosity. I have only seen the video but I do not think I would personally purchase this item with or without the expensive flash light card. His other effects appear much more interesting and magical.
Thank you very much for your opinions. Best regards, MI

I like his Easy twist demo, problem is it looks like there is too much fiddling with the cards during this routine, which should be much simpler.

I agree that Stars looks to be more of a neat and clever item than a magical showpiece, but I think that, given the proper presentation, one could turn this into something quite special. Its too bad lighting is an issue, otherwise I'm sure I'd get one.

I thought Easy Twist was self working? Hmm...

You're most wellcome neo.
I think the guys agree that stars is just an optical fasination and not a magical effect but that does not mean you should keep away from it. I think you need these kind of stuff that becomes a talking point and the spectator tries to work out the puzzle and not ask you about your other fav magical effects and secrets. Buy this and enjoy for the rest of the doh dah days (I mean as long as the gimmick lasts) |
