Here is my Haiku poem on a magic theme. I hope it inspires you to post your Haiku here.
Date and time this Magical Haiku from the post as is written directly... In card and ink lay our tools. Our crowd of watchers stare enthralled. Magic is food to the soul. Partizan. And another quick one. A noisy street and a pack of cards. Many eager eyes, looking for profit. A quick getaway from shouts and calls. Darn Haiku. I got going now... My hands disguise great secrets. I laugh at their audacity sometimes! They have my admiration. Partizan.

Hey Partizan,
At least in Japanese, it's 5/7/5 syllables with a seasonal reference and typically a "break" after the first or second line (you've got the break OK). In English, we have more slack on syllables, they say. Here's one: Pumpkins turn orange - I take the old slates and chalk, talk to my master. Get it? (The meaning, not the form.) OK, now you've got me going! Gold leaves brush against An empty traveling case - No more Svengalis! OK, one more: Hot dogs and fireworks - Thrashing in your palm, hot red, Fortune Telling Fish. Yours, Paul |

Coming in from the blizzard
to see the magician make it snow. Just one more for me too: "And for my final trick..."; Wooden wand clatters to the floor. |

All art is magic
though magicians cannot see isn't that tragic? |

Drwilson. I was at the end of a long day and used the last of my creative juices. I must apologize for my poor use of form.
I have been reading a book with Trinary verses in. I think that is where I lost it. Rings and cups provided. An autum crowd waits too see. I count my earnings.

Here’s my submission. It originally followed the traditional Haiku pattern of 17 syllables in 3 groups of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, but then something happened.
Magic poetry - A verse line vanishes.
Humans make life so interesting. Do you know that in a universe so full of wonders, they have managed to create boredom. Quite astonishing.

There is no rule that says haiku must not rhyme, only that they do *not have* to rhyme. Then again maybe I'm corrupted by Salinger's thoughts on the thing. Anyone for a double? Haiku on expresso?
