Some good news. United Healthcare just contacted the facility and said they'd be extending coverage to the 20th! Now, if we can just get her muscle tone back!

She's been admitted to Roger Williams, they want to monitor her blood count. She pulled out a stent today and blood went EVERYWHERE until they could stop it! I'm going in for a dental fitting (see the thread "So I Won't Have Bottom Teeth For At Least Another Year!") and then I'll be going in to visit her.

She's still hanging in there. Unfortunately, the gout in her right leg kept her from doing her physical therapy for a couple of days. I can't get the time off on the 20th, when she's due to be home. My two daughters will have to help her up the stairs!

That sounds like progress, however small. Will she be able to do additional therapy?
I'm continuing to pray for her continued recovery.

Yep, last day of therapy will be Wednesday. She's out on Thursday. Let's hope for the best.

I will say this, because it's just us. No one in the family is on this board, no one will see this.
I can't do this. If it goes wrong, I can't. SHE is the foundation, the linchpin, AND the keystone of this entire family! I can NOT keep this together without her. I have to go to Elmhurst tomorrow and pick up her belongings. (And see if I can FIND her "Supernatural" blanket that she's missing!) Then I have to go see her and put on a brave face while she falls apart. After that... I don't know.

Ed,
Urinary tract infections caused by bacteria is not as bad as it sounds. Certainly not a good thing, but it can be treated fairly easy. I know from experience with my wife. Let’s hope for the best and I do continue to pray for y’all. But Ed, as hard as all this is, you have to stay strong for the both of you. We're here to talk anytime you need us. Do keep us posted. Tom

She has no leg strength. I don't know how we're going to get her up two flights of stairs.
